FFC offers counseling for adults, children, teens, parents, families, and couples
Individual Counseling - Traditional talk therapy (offered to TEENS and ADULTS) in which clients meet with the therapist and explore their inner thoughts and feelings in search of heightened understanding of self. This insight can help change patterns and alleviate stress or other psychological symptoms such as depression, anxiety, or excessive anger.
Play Therapy - Child therapy that allows the child to explore their inner world via their most natural form of expression: Play! The therapist creates a safe environment in which the child feels free to share their world with the therapist. Parent consultations are offered frequently in order to provide the parent with methods of addressing undesirable behaviors and improving the parent-child relationship.
Activity Therapy - Approach used with children age 9 to 13, that allows the child to explore vulnerable feelings through an activity. This allows safety through distance and symbolism.
Child-Parent Relationship Training -Also known as Filial Therapy in which the therapist teaches the parent therapeutic techniques that will help the parent connect with their child and learn to better understand their child's perspective.
Family Counseling - Addresses relationship patterns within the family that are creating distance and distress between family members. All perspectives are heard and the therapist and family work to replace the harmful patterns with healthy ones.
Couple's Counseling - Addresses harmful relationship and communication patterns within the couple. Both perspectives are heard and the therapist and partners work to create new, healthy patterns of interacting.
